HTEC last Friday (June 16) broke ground on its two tonne per day green hydrogen production and liquid transfer facility in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada.
Located on heavy industrial land, the facility will be able to produce one tonne of low-carbon hydrogen per day via electrolysis, connected to BC Hydro’s grid, powered by 98% renewable sources, most of which hydroelectric.
The site will also feature a liquid hydrogen transfer system to receiving and gasifying liquid hydrogen, with an additional one-tonne-per-day capacity on a as-needed basis.
