Developing a process digital twin during the pre-front-end engineering design (FEED) phase is a crucial first step in establishing a digital twin for a hydrogen project, an H2 View webinar has heard.
“When you’re in pre-FEED, the first step you need to take is building a model of the process as it is in the stage of the project,” explained Ben Laws, Solutions Consultant at Siemens AG.
“Having a process digital twin, as we call it, is a really great starting point because it requires little information to get going – you don’t need to have selected all of your vendors or a vast amount of engineering data to get that started.”
