Green hydrogen supplier Hiringa Energy and heavy transport lease and rental company TR Group will jointly bring heavy-duty fuel cell electric trucks to market in New Zealand a part of a new agreement.
Set to be powered by Hiriga’s nationwide hydrogen refuelling network, the two companies will offer fuel inclusive lease packages that provide greater flexibility to heavy vehicle operators and companies looking to decarbonise their supply chain.
The vehicles will be offered in several configurations and weight classes including over 50t combined mass and 6×4 and 8×4 drivetrains. The first vehicles are expected to be available in 2021.
The partnership builds on Hiringa’s technical expertise and relationships with international fuel cell manufacturers, integrators and OEMs.
