Hexagon Purus will supply its high-pressure hydrogen tanks to New Flyer of America and New Flyer Canada for New Flyer’s Xcelsior CHARGE H2™ hydrogen fuel cell electric transit buses.
Sharing news of the contract on Friday (22nd Jan), Hexagon said the order is valued at approximately $900,000, and delivery will commence in Q1 2021.
The tanks store hydrogen at 350 bar and are specially designed for use by fuel cell buses.
“New Flyer and Hexagon Purus have been breaking new ground in hydrogen fuel use together since 2015,” said Harald Londer, Sales Director Hydrogen Automotive for Hexagon Purus.
