Norwegian-based Hexagon Purus has secured a five-year framework agreement for the delivery of its hydrogen distribution systems to an unnamed “global energy company” to supply hydrogen to a network of European refuelling stations.
Representing a potential sales value of €27m ($29m), the agreement will see Hexagon Purus provide its hydrogen distribution systems including its Type 4 cylinders to the energy player to bring hydrogen from production to refuelling sites that are currently being developed.
The order comes just months after the European Council and Parliament agreed on the alternative fuels infrastructure regulation (AFIR), setting the mandatory target to deploy hydrogen refuelling infrastructure every 200km along the TEN-T core network and in urban nodes.
