Henrik Hololei, the European Commission’s Director General for Mobility and Transport, this morning affirmed his support for hydrogen during day three of European Hydrogen Week.
Giving the opening remarks at the PrioritHy event, Hololei said, “Many who know me know that over the years I have always been a staunch supporter of the activities related to the development of hydrogen solutions. I see a lot of opportunities and possibilities for that in the area of mobility and transport.”
“The European Green Deal has put the EU on a path to climate neturaility by 2050 for transport and mobility. This means, more precisely, a reduction of emissions by 90%. This is quite a challenge.”
“In this context, it is good to see on the political and industrial level, everyone is talking now about hydrogen as the fuel for the future.”
