Helion Hydrogen Power wins offshore support vessel fuel cell contract

Helion Hydrogen Power has won a contract to support the Fortuna Crane offshore support vessel with hydrogen fuel cell technology.

H2Tec-BV, responsible for system integration, has chosen the F-C Rack™ Marine from Helion, with installation expected by the end of 2024. The vessel is owned by German shipowner OS Energy.

Vincent Maheo, President of Helion Hydrogen Power, said, “Through this demonstrator we intend to showcase our technological advancement by testing the compatibility of our fuel cells with liquid hydrogen carriers. Once retrofitted, this vessel will be a pioneer of its kind.”
