Hydrogen Energy Applications in Valley Environments for Northern Netherlands (HEAVENN) has received a grant of €20m from EU funding and €70m of public and private co-funding through The Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking (FCH JU) of the European Commission.
Hydrogen and energy consultancy HyEnergy, along with project partner Enercy B.V., undertook the planning, development, writing and application delivery for the project over a four-month intensive collaboration period and welcomes the applications success.
With the funding, the project aims to explore the unique opportunity of implementing an entire hydrogen value chain in the Northern Netherlands and aims to sign a grant agreement before Christmas (2019).
“We are really very proud of the work we have undertaken to deliver the HEAVENN application. It’s success and quality are founded on the strength of the collaboration with Enercy and the New Energy Coalition” said Ian Williamson, HyEnergy’s CEO.
