HDF Energy plans hydrogen power plant deployments in the Philippines

Hydrogéne de France (HDF Energy) will deploy its multi-MW Renewstable hydrogen plants in the Philippines, aimed at decarbonising the country’s power sector.

Under a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Department of Energy (DoE) and the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA), they will drive R&D in technologies designed to harness renewable energy sources and locally produced green hydrogen in various applications.

By collaborating with HDF Energy, the Philippine DoE and MinDA will use its Renewstable® multi-MW hydrogen power plants, which utilise solar or wind energy and water to generate electricity.

To meet ambitious targets in the Philippines, HDF is accelerating its projects in partnership with Reurasia, a company dedicated to driving sustainable development throughout Southeast Asia.
