Hawaii has become the latest state to start its hydrogen mobility journey.
According to West Hawaii Today, what is believed to be the Big Island’s first hydrogen-powered vehicle hit roads – and government officials want it to be the first of many.
Reports state that the island’s vehicle is a 2017 Toyota Mirai which is now located at the Puu Waawaa energy ranch, an off-grid laboratory dedicated to renewable energy.
West Hawaii Today understands the car was privately purchased and delivered by sustainable energy developer H2 Energy. The vehicle will be used to promote hydrogen mobility.
