H2med developers seek stakeholder input on European hydrogen corridor

The five transmission system operators (TSOs) developing the H2med hydrogen corridor have launched a Call for Interest to identify the requirements of future infrastructure users along the pipeline.

Enagás, GRTgaz, OGE, REN, and Teréga announced that the Call for Interest will be open until December 18, 2024, enabling stakeholders to submit their applications through the H2Digital platform.

The proposal set forward to stakeholders is expected to identify all the needs covered by the corridor, “in particular the national hydrogen backbones that the five promoters aim to build by 2030.”

In Portugal, REN aims to build a hydrogen infrastructure capable of exporting 0.75 million tonnes per year of hydrogen, whilst Enagás in Spain has already received approval to build and operate 2,700km of pipelines with two associated storage facilities as part of H2med.
