Australian-based H2i Technology has today (August 2) announced it has manufactured the first 10 commercially-ready hydrogen injection kits for diesel engines.
Set to be deployed for run field testing with potential customers over the next six months, the units are based on H2i-developed hardware and proprietary software to manage the injection of hydrogen into diesel engines which it says can significantly reduce emissions and fuel costs.
Currently running final tests and calibrations, which it expects to be completed in the next two-to-four weeks, H2i plans to execute trials with five potential customers across steel manufacturing, agriculture, construction, mining and hospitality and tourism.
