Hydrogen-powered flight innovator H2FLY has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Air Liquide, strengthening their partnership on the development of liquid hydrogen storage and ground infrastructure.
The German-based company has been working with the industrial gas giant as part of its Project HEAVEN campaign to fit its HY4 hydrogen fuel cell-powered aircraft with liquid hydrogen capabilities.
In April this year (2023) the pair have revealed liquid hydrogen filling success as well as the coupling of a liquid hydrogen storage system with the fuel cell system within the HY4 aircraft.
