Gas Vessel Production’s (GVP) single large tank approach can offer 40% cost reductions compared with traditional compressed hydrogen transport methods.
Speaking on an H2 View webinar today, Oksana Pilatova, Co-founder & CEO at GVP Group, said the European company can offer a “game-changing” solution with its high-pressure tank, which she said is the largest in the world.
Traditional cylinders used today for large-scale gas transport rely on multiple element gas containers with up to 15 small cylinders, whereas GVP replaces these with a single large tank.
“While [these cylinders] are the industry standard, they have efficiency, safety and scalability limitations,” Pilatova said. “GVP takes a radically different approach, and the advantages are clear.
