Green Hydrogen Systems (GHS) is about to start testing the first prototypes of its X-Series electrolysers this year and is aiming for commercial launch next year.
Speaking at H2 View’s Electrolyser Special, sponsored by GHS, Mascha Smit, Head of Technology, said, “The HyProvide X-Series is specially designed for large scale projects, from 4MW to more than 100MW.”
The X-Series multi-stack concept allows the electrolyser to reach higher voltages crucial to utilise mass-produced, low-cost and high-efficiency power electronics from wind and solar markets operating in the 1,000-1,500V range.
The X-Series prototype is a 6MW pressurised alkaline electrolyser, building on Green Hydrogen Systems’ commercial A90 A-Series core stack technology. The X-Series prototype will be installed and tested on-site at GreenLab as an integrated part of the GreenHyScale project.
