GPA Engineering appointed Owner’s Engineer for South Australia Hydrogen Jobs Plan

GPA Engineering has been appointed Owner’s Engineer to support the development of South Australia’s Hydrogen Jobs Plan.

Having committed over AUD $500m ($324m) for the delivery of a hydrogen power plant, the Hydrogen Jobs Plan hopes to establish 300 jobs during the construction of the plant with an additional 10,000 jobs in the pipeline of renewable energy projects and 900 through hydrogen exports.

The plant, planned for Whyalla, is set to combine 250MW of electrolysers, 200MW of hydrogen power generation and a hydrogen storage facility.
