GOLDI Mobility’s new GOLDiON H18 bus will run on both hydrogen and electricity, offering long range, extended warranty and competitive pricing.
Developed under the GOLDiON project, the bus is designed to use a charge depleting strategy for the battery, draining only electricity. The battery is discharged until it reaches a minimum state-of-charge.
When the state-of-charge level is reached, a charge sustaining strategy is then engaged and the state-of-charge is maintained. The fuel cell is used to help propulsion and to provide additional energy to maintain the battery state-of-charge.
With its advanced energy management system, the powertrain efficiency is fully optimised by considering both zero emission technologies which are taking part in propulsion.
