Wabtec Corporation and General Motors (GM) have revealed today (June 15) a new collaboration in which the two companies will commercialise GM’s Hydrotec hydrogen fuel cell systems for Wabotec locomotives.
This collaboration is expected to contribute to the wider aim of decarbonising the locomotive rail industry by switching to cleaner power such as hydrogen.
The two companies signed a nonbinding memorandum of understanding (MoU) to advance the shared vision of a zero-emissions future in transportation.
