The global hydrogen electrolyser project pipeline has grown by 6% in the past six months to 1.19TW, falling from an 18% rise over the prior six months, but projects advancing beyond early stage planning is speeding up, says Aurora Energy Research.
According to the UK researcher, projects moving beyond early plans now totals a capacity of 182GW, up by 32% (48GW) since April 2023 – raising from a 28% increase from the previous half year.
In its April update, Aurora said electrolyser projects had grown by 168GW since October 2022, but just 1% were in construction.
