Gladstone, Australia, is fast on its way to becoming a renewable hydrogen superpower, with its proposed hydrogen plant project currently ahead of schedule.
Minister for Energy, Renewables and Hydrogen Mick de Brenni yesterday said that the Palaszczuk Government is investing more than $1.7m in the project.
“The Hydrogen Park Gladstone project will be the first in Australia to blend renewable hydrogen into an entire city gas network for residential, commercial and industrial customers,” de Brenni said.
“I understand the project is off to a great start, with the first major milestone – procurement of the plant’s 175kW electrolyser – accomplished several months ahead of schedule.
