German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz is set to visit Canada to advance policies including hydrogen with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
From Sunday (August 21) until next Tuesday (August 23), Scholz’s visit will focus on key areas such as safeguarding energy security and accelerating the global clean energy transition, through securing access to key resources including hydrogen.
Reuters on Thursday (August 18) reported that the German Chancellor will sign a deal to establish hydrogen supply chains with the country during the visit, as Germany looks to rapidly reduce dependence on Russian gas supplied.
