Gen2 Energy and Securing Energy for Europe (SEFE) are discussing the long-term delivery and offtake of containerised compressed hydrogen from Norway to Germany and Northwest Europe.
The Norwegian company revealed it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SEFE Marketing & Trading (SM&T) with the target of securing an agreement for an initial volume of hydrogen from Gen2’s first production facility, planned to be built in Mosjøen, Norway.
With delivery expected to commence in late 2025 or early 2026, the announcement follows on from Wood being awarded a front-end engineering design (FEED) contract for the Mosjøen facility, which is set to boast 100MW of hydrogen production capacity.
