Gen2 Energy has signed an agreement for the long-term lease of an industrial site in Åfjord, Norway for the large-scale production and shipping of green hydrogen.
Signed with the Åfjord Municipality, the agreement allows Gen2 to secure the 41-acre Monstad Haveneområde industrial site to build a green hydrogen production facility, as well as gain access to quay facilities for the export of the molecule to Norwegian and wider European markets.
H2 View understands Gen2 is currently conducting a concept study for the plant in order to clarify design aspects of the facility, ahead of commencing ground preparation and regulation.
