Gazprom has joined forces with the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) to develop hydrogen energy technologies.
Confirming the news on Monday (June 28), Gazprom and RAS said they hope to solve scientific challenges in the area of hydrogen production in the most environmentally friendly and cost-efficient way.
To achieve the above, the duo will carry out various joint studies, the results of which will be factored into Gazprom’s sustainable development scenarios up to 2050.
Such goals were formalised in a recent meeting of the Sustainable Development Council led by Oleg Aksyutin Deputy Chairman of the Management Committee – Head of Department at Gazprom, Corresponding Member of RAS, and Nikolai Kasimov, Member of the RAS.
