Gasunie has today (June 27) revealed it has taken the investment decision to build the first section of the Dutch national hydrogen network in Rotterdam.
With investment for the first section anticipated to exceed €100m, the company will construct over 30km of pipeline from Tweede Maasvlakte in Rotterdam to Pernis, with plans to see it operational by 2025.
The Port of Rotterdam has been pegged as one of the key gateways for hydrogen into Europe in recent years, with numerous plans to see corridors set up between the Dutch port and its counterparts in southern Europe and even further afield.
