Fusion Fuel has today (March 20) been awarded a further €3.6m ($4.4m) in funding from the Portuguese Government to develop a 1MW decentralised green hydrogen mobility project.
Funded through Component 5 (C-5), Portugal’s Recover and Resilience Plan), the grant will see the company develop a 1MW decentralised green hydrogen production facility, co-located with a hydrogen refuelling station in Elvas, Portugal.
Set to be co-developed with Galp, the project is hoped to serve as a benchmark for exploring the concept of decentralised green hydrogen production for motility applications, with the site located on the Portugal-Spain border on one of the main freight corridors between the two countries.
