As Estonia continues to grapple with the energy crisis facing Europe, the country looks to develop the ‘first’ nationwide Hydrogen Valley with a coalition of public and private partners.
Plans unveiled on Tuesday (July 5) for the Hydrogen Valley Estonia project seek to develop hydrogen strategy, governance, and international recognition, encouraging the country to become part of a European large-scale hydrogen valley along the North Sea, under the motto ‘from zero to green’.
The private and public project partners have set the target of establishing a complete, nationwide hydrogen value chain to accelerate the energy transition, achieving energy independence, over the next six years, in an effort to also meet its goals of climate neutrality by 2050.
