Engineered solutions company Frames has been awarded a contract to supply a hydrogen recovery and purification system for the MOL Group’s Dunube Refinery, located in Százhalombatta, near Budapest.
The purification system will recover hydrogen from vent recycled gas, improving the overall efficiency of the refinery’s hydrogen recovery and reducing operation costs.
Oil and gas company MOL has voiced its commitment to make efficiency improvements in its refinery processing; including the recovery of hydrogen from vent gas and utilising the hydrogen to reduce the quantity of makeup hydrogen produced by hydrogen plants.
Frames’ hydrogen recovery and purification system features sensitive membrane technology, from its strategic partner Membrane Technology and Research (MTR), which will allow MOL Group to optimise the required hydrogen purity and recovery levels.
