Fountaine Pajot, a designer and manufacturer of cruising catamarans, has become the first major shipyard to integrate hydrogen as an energy solution on board its boats, the company has said.
This is part of a strategic development plan, called Odyssea 2024, to launch the French company’s first project to integrate alternative energy solutions into its range of sailing catamarans and has chosen EODev’s hydrogen technology.
The project aims to combine the power supply of its 59ft sailing catamaran, Samana 59’, with EODev’s hydrogen power generator, REXH2, which has been developed around Toyota’s fuel cell.
