Fortescue Future Industries (FFI) has today (Feb 2) confirmed that it will acquire an interest in Sparc Hydrogen Purity (Sparc Hydrogen) as it looks to be more technology focused company and be a significant player in the global green hydrogen industry.
Australian based, Sparc Hydrogen is currently working on a technology that will produce green hydrogen from only sunlight and water, instead of renewable energy and electrolysis, offering various benefits when compared with electrolysis technologies.
Sparc Hydrogen’s innovative technologies will provide FFI with a competitive edge, however, the advantages of the acquired interest do not stop there. Sparc Hydrogen also boasts an exclusive licence to develop and commercialise next-generation green hydrogen technology created by the University of Adelaide and Flinders University.
