Flusys has agreed to heat its new production facility with HYTING’s latest product, representing its first customer.
HYTING expects to commission and install its technology in 2025, located at Flusys’ production facility for precision pumps in Offenbach, Germany. The 1,000-metre production space will be heated using hydrogen from a nearby supplier.
The German firm’s concept offers a “simple, safe, efficient and clean way to generate heat directly from hydrogen, without combustion.” The startup has developed a forced-air heating system that is currently awaiting patents.
The system uses a “catalytic process to turn hydrogen and oxygen from air into heat which does not produce any CO2, NOx, or particulate emissions,” with the only by-product being water. It is also reported to be modular and scalable in design, offering outputs of 10-300kW.

“We are certain that hydrogen will help decarbonise the heating sector,” claimed Tim Hannig, Founder and Managing Director of HYTING. “By radically simplifying the use of hydrogen’s thermal energy we developed an innovative hydrogen-fuelled heating technology.”
Carsten Neutzer, CEO of Flusys, is a firm believer in the future of hydrogen and was open to HYTING’s technology. “The technology immediately fascinated and excited us. We hope to be able to give a boost to this new CO2-free technology,” the CEO said.
