The first set of wind turbines that will power NEOM’s green hydrogen production plant have been delivered to the mega project’s port in the north-west of Saudi Arabia by Envision Energy.
Now en route to the planned wind garden site near the Gulf of Aqaba where they will be assembled and installed, the first load of turbines will contribute to some 250 turbines that will directly power the green hydrogen plant.
Located in Oxagon, the NEOM Green Hydrogen Company (NGHC) facility will utilise 4GW of solar and wind to produce 600 tonnes of green hydrogen per day from 2.2GW of electrolysis.
