First Hydrogen hosted representatives from 21 UK fleet operators and industry specialists at the HORIBA MIRA to test drive its hydrogen-powered light commercial vehicles (LCVs).
Attendees included fleet managers from Asda, Sainsbury’s, DPD, NHS England, VINCI Group, Anglo American, and Network Rail. Several utility providers such as Wales & West Utilities, Northern Gas Networks, SGN & National Gas were also at the event.
Those attending the event were offered the chance to drive a hydrogen fuel cell electric 3.5 tonne van, with 29 of them taking the opportunity to drive on the MIRA track, simulating different duty-cycles and reaching speeds of up to 70 miles per hour.
