First Hydrogen has announced its hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) fleet has completed its real-world trials with ‘impressive performances.’
Energy firm SSE conducted the trials and claimed the van had efficient fuel consumption and vehicle range, travelling over 630km on a single refuelling.
The month-long trial saw the First Hydrogen vehicles put in action in the Aberdeen, Scotland, area with light traffic conditions enabling the vehicle to run at maximum speed limits for longer periods than it had done before. At higher speeds the vehicle maintained good fuel efficiency consuming an average of 1.58kg H2/100m, and range capability of over 630km.
