Finnish food-tech start-up Solar Foods will soon be using green hydrogen to produce its food products.
Nel Hydrogen Electrolyser today (March 16) said it had received a €2m ($2.2m) order for its alkaline electrolyser for the firm in order cut emissions from its food production processes.
To be deployed in Solar Foods’ Factory 01 in Vantaa, the electrolyser will showcase what can be achieved with hydrogen in the food sector.
Ville-Veikko Vaaranmaa, Project Director for Solar Foods, said, “We are excited to proceed in the construction of Factory 01 on schedule.
