The city of Raahe, Finland, wants to become a major player in hydrogen production – and it already has multiple project plans in place.
Having today (Feb 23) confirmed the conclusion of a study focused on its hydrogen potential, the region stated that hydrogen production efforts would benefit a number of existing projects and industries.
Already, Raahe is home to the SSAB steel plant that wants to convert to completely emissions-free production by 2030 with the implementation of hydrogen technologies, which could benefit from its clean energy carrier plans.
