ATOME has completed a front-end engineering and design (FEED) study for its 145MW green hydrogen-based fertiliser project in Paraguay as it targets final investment decision (FID) by the end of 2024.
Confirming the design, processing, timelines and production capacity of 264,000 tonnes per year of green calcium ammonium nitrate (CAN) fertiliser for the project in Villeta, Paraguay, the FEED study includes around 100,000 hours of engineering.
ATOME anticipates using its green CAN could displace up to 15 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) over the project’s lifetime.
