Hydrogen storage systems developed by automotive technology company Faurecia will be deployed in a fleet of Groupe Renault light commercial vehicles by the end of the year.
The two French companies today (22nd Feb) said they have joined forces on the development of hydrogen storage solutions for the vehicles.
According to the partnership, the systems will be developed and produced at its global center of expertise in Bavans, France, and as volumes increase, production will be extended to a new plant dedicated to hydrogen storage systems that Faurecia is building in Allenjoie, France.
Commenting on the collaboration, Mathias Miedreich, Executive Vice-President of Faurecia Clean Mobility, said, “This partnership is an important illustration of our common vision for expanding the use of hydrogen as a cornerstone of the energy transition and as a perfect solution for zero emissions mobility.”
