Extreme E, the electric rally championship which uses a hydrogen fuel cell generator to remotely charge its race fleet, will host its fourth event of its opening season in Sardinia, Italy.
Dubbed the Island X Prix, Extreme E’s event in Sardinia will take place October 23-24. The move follows the series’ decision to postpone its originally planned events in Brazil and Argentina due to the coronavirus crisis in Latin America.
On the move, Alejandro Agag, founder and CEO of Extreme E, said, “I am pleased to confirm that Extreme E is finalising plans to hold an Island X Prix in Sardinia, Italy, and that we are delighted to have the support of Sardinian president Christian Solinas, and the Automobile Club d’Italia (ACI) as we plan our first European event.
