Exolum has launched H2ROAD to optimise hydrogen logistics, infrastructure and mobility solutions.
The new business line is expected to focus on the development of hydrogen logistics infrastructure, including the design, investment, installation, operation and maintenance, from production sites to final delivery to consumers.
The infrastructure developments carried out by the Spanish firm are likely to be located near production, transport and storage sites and consumption points. H2ROAD also support hydrogen import and export hubs too, which can be linked to production and storage plants depending on a client’s need.
Exolum will also leverage its logistics expertise and its IT tool, which can simulate the integrated logistics of any project. H2 View understands that this will offer comprehensive end-to-end solutions and provide a safe and constant supply of hydrogen.
In a press statement, Exolum stated, “H2ROAD receives support from a number of experienced and reputable suppliers and service providers in the hydrogen market, which will help reduce costs and delivery times, so that logistics is no longer the limiting factor for hydrogen projects.
“One of the logistics solutions offered by Exolum, which will be available soon, is the transport and supply of hydrogen for mobility through two portable hydrogen stations capable of supplying hydrogen at 350 and 700 bar, respectively.”
Earlier this month, Exolum began testing the storage and transport of green hydrogen at a commercial scale through the use of liquid organic hydrogen carriers (LOHC).

Situated at the Port of Immingham in the UK, the pilot project received £505,000 ($647,000) in government funding to facilitate the transportation of 20 tonnes of hydrogen via a 1.5 km pipeline.
