At first glance, you might think it’s quite strange that a former South African lawyer is leading the charge to change the world with hydrogen technology.
But when you consider that the inventor of the fuel cell in 1839 was a Welsh judge called Sir William Robert Grove, perhaps Corrie de Jager is exactly where he should be.
With a successful legal career spanning 45 years, which included building up one of the biggest legal practices in Pretoria, South Africa’s capital city, de Jager retired from the profession in 2018 to focus his attention on his other passion: hydrogen technology.
