Advanced Ionics is targeting “hundreds of kilograms” of green hydrogen per day by 2025, and up to one tonne a day by 2026, as it aims to reach commercial scale by the latter half of the decade.
Speaking exclusively to H2 View, Founder Chad Mason said, “We’ve demonstrated in the laboratory and we’re working on scaling that up right now, and signing early stage partners.”
The firm, aiming to double its workforce to 40 by the year end, believes it can create the ‘clean future of industrial hydrogen’ with new electrolyser technology and produce green hydrogen ‘for less than $1 a kilogram’.
Its Symbiotic™ technology creates electrolysers that work in an intermediate temperature range, above liquid water but below expensive superheated steam.
