Everfuel today (20th Jan) said it has signed a deal with Ørsted to buy green hydrogen produced at the Danish renewable energy group’s pivotal wind-to-hydrogen demonstration project for distribution to zero emission mobility.
Dubbed H2RES, the project will be Ørsted’s first renewable hydrogen project utilising offshore wind power to produce green hydrogen.
To be located at the Avedøre Holme in Copenhagen, Denmark, the facility will have a capacity of 2MW, producing up to around 1,000 kg of renewable hydrogen per day with expected start-up in late 2021.
Everfuel will build and operate a compression and trailer-fill facility next to the electrolyser.
