Yara International’s 24MW renewable hydrogen and ammonia plant in Norway has been inaugurated by the Norwegian Prime Minister, Jonas Gahr Støre.
The Herøya Industrial Park is set to produce enough hydrogen to deliver 20,500 tonnes of ammonia per year which can be converted to between 60,000 and 70,000 tonnes of green fertiliser.
ITM Power provided its PEM-based TRIDENT stack platform to the project, which will enable a production capacity of around 10,000kg of hydrogen per day. Linde Engineering was tasked with developing and building the hydrogen plant.
