European Energy powers up first green hydrogen plant in Denmark

Denmark’s European Energy has inaugurated its first green hydrogen production facility in Måde, near Esbjerg.

Having completed construction in June, the facility is now operational with the first of three electrolysers producing hydrogen.

Supplied by floating offshore wind, hydrogen and carbon capture firm Stiesdal, the electrolyser capacity is expected to be expanded to 12MW by adding two more systems in 2025.
