A €450m ($491.4m) Italian scheme to support the production of renewable hydrogen has been approved by the European Commission.
The scheme is set to support investments in the integrated production of renewable hydrogen and renewable electricity in brownfield industrial areas to drive forward Italy’s Net Zero economy.
Open to companies all sizes active in Italy, the projects will be selected through an open competitive bidding process for up to €20m ($21.8m) per project.
