With hydrogen in the aviation sector gaining significant traction, the European Commission has awarded €25m ($29.3m) to the TULIPS consortium to introduce low-carbon mobility solutions to airports.
One of the planned projects expected to benefit from this funding is a venture looking to develop a hydrogen ground power unit (HGPU) that will provide renewable electric power to aircraft when it is stationary.
