The EU has continued on its mission to secure future energy partners, holding its first meeting on the development of renewable hydrogen in Chile.
Headed up by the EU’s new Commissioner for Climate Action, Wopke Hoekstra, the Steering Committee of Team Europe Initiative for the Development of Renewable Hydrogen in Chile saw European ministers and ambassadors meet with Chilean counterparts to discuss hydrogen progress.
It comes as the first meeting after European Commission President, Ursula von der Leyen, launched the €225m ($238.9m) Fund for Renewable Hydrogen in Chile this June (2023).
