As popularity for hydrogen continues to grow, more and more companies are looking to utilise the clean energy carrier to decarbonise operations; the latest of these is hygiene and health company Essity.
The Swedish-based company has revealed today (Oct 27) that it will launch a pilot project that will run a paper machine with green hydrogen to produce carbon free tissues.
Essity has said that this is the first project of this magnitude in the paper industry and will see an investment of around €4m ($5.49m) to make it a reality.
