ENGIE has successfully refuelled a hydrogen passenger train in the Northern Netherlands as part of a pilot test.
Working in partnership with Alstom, Arriva, ProRail and DEKRA, ENGIE successfully refuelled the Coradia iLint train six times.
The train tests without passengers were conducted on the 55-km railway between Leeuwarden and Groningen, at up to 140km per hour.
During the test, ENGIE supplied renewable hydrogen and operated the mobile refuelling station.
